In the enchanting heart of Paris near the famed Luxembourg Garden in the historic sixth arrondissement, Musée Zadkine invites visitors to explore the creative world of the Russian sculptor Ossip Zadkine. Born in the late nineteenth century, Zadkine played a key role in modern art through a unique style that wove together elements of Cubism and abstraction. His former home and studio have been lovingly transformed into a museum to share his creative journey with the world.

Ossip Zadkine’s work is celebrated through a personal collection that includes roughly three hundred sculptures, as well as drawings, photographs, and tapestries that showcase the breadth of his artistic vision. The museum came into being when his devoted wife, Valentine Prax, generously donated the property and his collection to the City of Paris. Opened in nineteen eighty-two, Musée Zadkine has continually evolved as a center for art and creative expression.

Adding to its charm is a peaceful garden that offers a quiet haven for art lovers. As part of the Paris Musées network, the museum regularly hosts contemporary art exhibitions, reflecting its deep ties to Parisian art history and community life. Renovations in twenty twelve improved accessibility and further emphasized the creative spirit of the space.
