Today we invite you on a journey to one of Paris's most enchanting landmarks: Le Mur des Je T'aime, known in English as The Wall of Love. Located at Square Jehan Rictus in Place des Abbesses in the Montmartre district, this forty square meter mural is a true celebration of love.

Created in two thousand by artists Frédéric Baron and Claire Kito, the artwork is composed of six hundred twelve enamel tiles. Each tile, measuring about twenty-one by twenty-nine point seven centimeters, bears the phrase "I love you" three hundred eleven times in two hundred fifty languages. Among these are widely spoken languages as well as rarer ones like Navajo, Inuit, Bambara, and Esperanto, reflecting a world connected by affection.

The design features vivid red splashes that symbolize fragments of a broken heart coming together as one whole. This creative reinterpretation transforms a traditional divider, the wall, into an emblem of unity and shared emotion. Over the years, the wall has evolved into a beloved meeting spot for locals and international visitors, inspiring contemporary messages of love and togetherness. Positioned in the artistic heart of Montmartre, Le Mur des Je T'aime blends history, culture, and art into a timeless celebration of love.
