Park with paths lining the Seine, colorful flower beds & play areas, plus views of the Eiffel Tower.

Welcome to Parc de Bécon, a public park in Courbevoie near Paris that offers a blend of rich history and natural beauty. Nestled along the banks of the Seine, the park is spread over roughly three hectares on two levels and is easily reached from one hundred seventy-eight Boulevard Saint-Denis.

The park’s layout reflects layers of history. In the Carolingian era, a lighthouse tower once stood on this site, a landmark so significant that it influenced the local name. Later, the Château de Bécon, which belonged to figures including the Comte du Cayla, the Orsini family, and Prince George Barbu Știrbei, dominated the landscape until bombings in one thousand nine hundred thirty led to its eventual demolition.

Nearby, the Pavillon des Indes and the Roybet-Fould Museum, originally built for the one thousand eight hundred seventy-eight Universal Exposition, remind visitors of a time when innovation met art and culture. Historic remnants such as the preserved fronton of the former caserne Charras and a memorial to General Leclerc add to the park’s narrative.

Today, landscaped gardens, vibrant flower beds, and well-appointed recreational areas invite you to enjoy outdoor leisure. With its open-air theatre, play areas, and food services, Parc de Bécon provides a unique experience where cultural heritage meets relaxation.
