Welcome to the Musée Rodin, a unique haven nestled in an elegant eighteenth-century mansion in Paris. This historic setting has witnessed centuries of French heritage, having sheltered nobility and later inspiring artists like Jean Cocteau and Matisse. Today, it offers visitors an intimate look into the evolution of modern sculpture.

At the Hôtel Biron, visitors wander through a three-hectare garden that displays masterpieces including The Thinker, The Kiss, and The Gates of Hell. Here, the work of Auguste Rodin comes alive. Rodin transformed sculpture with his bold ideas and innovative techniques, and his creative process is visible in every form. Equally notable is Camille Claudel, whose collaborative work with Rodin left a profound mark on art history.

In two thousand fifteen, extensive renovations refreshed the exhibition areas, auditorium, and café, making the museum even more inviting. A short walk from the Varenne metro station, the site is easy to reach and navigate.

A second site, the Villa des Brillants in Meudon, offers a deeper glimpse into Rodin’s personal life. Once his home and workshop, it preserves original furnishings, personal photographs, and even his tomb, providing a rare insight into his creative world.

The Musée Rodin remains a top destination, engaging the international art community with its rich collections and dynamic temporary exhibitions.
