...

Welcome to Musée Maillol, a unique art destination in Paris’ seventh arrondissement at fifty-nine to sixty-one, rue de Grenelle. Housed in a historic building that once served as the esteemed Bouchardon hotel and later as the Cabaret de la Fontaine des Quatre-Saisons, the museum underwent a transformative renovation over fifty years. This careful restoration now offers visitors a welcoming restaurant, permanent collections, and temporary exhibitions that celebrate art from the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.

At the heart of the museum is the visionary Dina Vierny, muse and dedicated patron of sculptor Aristide Maillol. In nineteen sixty-four she donated Maillol’s monumental sculptures and later established a foundation to honor his work. Today, you can experience a vast collection—sculptures, paintings, drawings, and decorative art—featuring celebrated names such as Henri Rousseau, Paul Cézanne, Edgar Degas, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, and many more, including modern European and Russian artists.

Enjoy the blend of historical ambiance and contemporary flair, a cultural experience enriched by Paris’ deep artistic heritage. The museum welcomes visitors daily with admission fees and is managed by Dina Vierny’s heirs, ensuring its vibrant legacy continues.
