The Fondation Louis Vuitton is a modern art museum and cultural center located in Paris, in the sixteenth arrondissement. It is located at Eight Avenue du Mahatma Gandhi, near the Bois de Boulogne and within the historic Jardin d'Acclimatation. Opened on October twentieth, two thousand fourteen in the presence of the French president, it was established to promote modern and contemporary art for a broad audience.

Designed by the renowned architect Frank Gehry, the building showcases a deconstructivist style inspired by the graceful forms of sails and ships in motion. It features twelve distinct glass sails made from thousands of uniquely curved panels that catch and reflect natural light, creating dynamic visual effects. Advanced digital modeling techniques helped overcome many challenges during construction while ensuring the integration of innovative materials like specialized glass and concrete panels.

Inside, the Fondation houses eleven galleries, a three hundred-seat auditorium, and multiple roof terraces. The museum exhibits a diverse collection that includes works from influential artists such as Gerhard Richter, Pierre Soulages, and Cindy Sherman, alongside site-specific installations that play with natural light and color. Beyond its art displays, the venue hosts debates, live performances, concerts, and conferences, making it a vibrant meeting point for culture and creativity. The museum continues to influence Paris’s art and design scene, drawing both art lovers and architecture enthusiasts.
