Welcome to the Bourse de Commerce – Pinault Collection. This remarkable venue offers a journey through Parisian history and modern art. Originally built as a grain exchange in the mid-eighteenth century, the building once served to trade wheat and other commodities on a site once home to a grand residence tied to Catherine de' Medici.

The structure is circular with a central courtyard, and its dome has been famously compared by Victor Hugo to a jockey’s cap. In the nineteenth century, major renovations were carried out, preserving its historical layout while adding new decorative and structural features that still echo its storied past.

Since two thousand twenty-one, the building has been transformed into an exhibition space for the Pinault Collection. Renowned architect Tadao Ando reimagined the space with a modern twist. Visitors now experience a thirty-foot-high concrete cylinder, an expansive gallery, and an underground auditorium that make it one of the largest private art museums in Paris.

The Bourse de Commerce now stands as a unique cultural destination where history and contemporary art blend seamlessly. Enjoy a visit that speaks both to the legacy of the past and the creativity of the present.
