La Roseraie du Val-de-Marne is a renowned rose garden located in L’Haÿ-les-Roses, a charming town about nine kilometres south of central Paris. Established in nineteen hundred and one by Jules Gravereaux, the garden was designed to celebrate the beauty of roses and the horticultural arts of the previous century. As visitors enter the garden today, they are greeted by delightful gazebos, arches, and trellises alongside an array of summer blossoms that evoke the spirit of nineteenth-century design.

The garden also features elegant pavilions, bowers, and latticework that mirror the architectural preferences of the time. These structures are not merely decorative; they narrate the story of an era when nature and art were intimately connected. A standout feature is the Norman Pavilion, a historic edifice that has become emblematic of the area's rich heritage.

The town of L’Haÿ-les-Roses itself has a long history, tracing back to medieval times and the era of Charlemagne when it was known as Laiacum. Over the years, the garden has transformed into a cultural centre, hosting traditions and events that honour its enduring association with French art and history.
