The site originally served as the residence of the Duchess of Mortemart in the mid-eighteenth century. During the French Revolution, the estate was sold as national property and was later acquired by Félix Voisin in the early nineteenth century. Shortly after, it was transformed into a health centre, including cottage-style pavilions and repurposing an old icehouse as a chapel.
The park is adorned with notable sculptures that enhance its charm. In nineteen seventy-one, Michel Serraz's monumental bronze head named F. Pic was installed in honour of Frédéric Pic, a former mayor who left a significant legacy. Additionally, a striking piece by Paul Roussel, known as Nonia, danseuse à Pompéi or Fleur du Vésuve, adds to the park's cultural richness.
