Welcome to Parc de la Butte du Chapeau Rouge, a lively public park perched on a hillside in the nineteenth district of Paris. Created in nineteen thirty-nine on land that was once used for military purposes, the park is a remarkable example of transforming a functional area into a contemporary urban sanctuary. It is celebrated for breaking away from the traditional style of picturesque gardens, opting instead for expansive lawns that serve as a setting for thoughtfully placed artworks.

The innovative design was led by architect Léon Azéma, with input from Jacques Carlu and Louis-Hippolyte Boileau. Renowned artist Raymond Couvégne crafted the award-winning statue of Eve in nineteen thirty-eight, which stands proudly at the park's entrance, accompanied by a modern-style fountain on Boulevard d’Algérie. Furthermore, a distinguished sculpture by Pierre Traverse from the same period features two women and a child with grapes, adding a touch of charm and symbolism.

As visitors wander through the park, they can explore winding paths, long avenues, and staircases leading to elevated terraces and viewpoints that offer sweeping views of the city. The park's modern design elements harmoniously blend with neoclassical features, such as the columns near the playgrounds, showcasing the fusion of art, culture, and history during the nineteen thirties.
