Welcome to Parc André Citroën, a contemporary urban park that captures the vibrant essence of Paris. Once the site of the old Citroën automobile factory, the park now merges nature, art, and history into a dynamic environment. Named in honour of André Citroën, the visionary founder of the car company, it celebrates his legacy of innovation and design.
Established in nineteen ninety-two, the park spans approximately fourteen hectares. Acclaimed French landscape architects, including Gilles Clément and Alain Provost, envisioned the space, transforming it into a serene urban haven. Wander along the expansive rectangular lawn and be delighted by the playful fountains that captivate visitors with their joyful water displays.
At the southern boundary of the park is the Jardin des Métamorphoses, a grand canal featuring an elevated reflecting pool and a suspended walkway providing a unique vista. Nearby, the Serial Gardens are divided into themed sections, each inspired by elements such as metals, planets, days of the week, water, and the human senses, enriching your visit with symbolic depth.
An exceptional experience awaits with the tethered helium balloon ride, operating since nineteen ninety-nine. In just ten minutes, the balloon elevates passengers above Paris, offering panoramic views of landmarks including the Champ de Mars, the River Seine, Sacré-Cœur, and Notre-Dame Cathedral.
