Palais de Tokyo is a distinctive landmark situated along the Seine in Paris, where art, history, and urban life converge. In the year nineteen thirty-seven, architects Jean-Claude Dondel and André Aubert designed this building in the Art Deco style with exquisite marble facades for the International Exposition. Initially named Palais des Musées d'Art Moderne, it was intended to accommodate two museums.

Today, the eastern wing houses the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris, showcasing well over ten thousand pieces that celebrate modern and contemporary art. In contrast, the western wing now functions as the Centre d'Art Contemporain, a venue dedicated to pioneering and temporary art exhibitions, highlighting emerging French and European talents in various disciplines such as painting, sculpture, design, and performance.

In nineteen sixty, a monument commemorating the French Free Forces was inaugurated here, enriching its historical significance. The location is also renowned as a popular urban skateboarding venue known as the Dôme, which has had a substantial impact on contemporary culture. With its proximity to the Eiffel Tower and easy access via the Alma-Marceau and Iéna metro stations, Palais de Tokyo provides a unique insight into the artistic and cultural heritage of Paris.
