The Fondation Louis Vuitton is a modern art museum and cultural centre situated in Paris, in the sixteenth arrondissement. You can find it at Eight Avenue du Mahatma Gandhi, close to the Bois de Boulogne and within the historic Jardin d'Acclimatation. It was inaugurated on the twentieth of October two thousand and fourteen in the presence of the French president, with the aim of promoting modern and contemporary art to a wide audience.

The building was crafted by the esteemed architect Frank Gehry and reflects a deconstructivist style, taking inspiration from the elegant shapes of sails and ships in motion. It boasts twelve distinctive glass sails comprised of thousands of uniquely curved panels that capture and reflect natural light, producing dynamic visual impressions. Advanced digital modelling techniques were pivotal in overcoming numerous construction challenges while enabling the use of innovative materials, such as specialised glass and concrete panels.

Inside, the Fondation features eleven galleries, a three hundred-seat auditorium, and several roof terraces. The museum presents a varied collection that includes works by eminent artists like Gerhard Richter, Pierre Soulages, and Cindy Sherman, alongside site-specific installations that interact with natural light and colour. Apart from its art exhibitions, the site hosts discussions, live performances, concerts, and conferences, creating a lively hub for culture and creativity. The museum continues to shape the art and design landscape of Paris, attracting both art aficionados and architecture lovers.
