Welcome, travellers, to Atelier des Lumières, a digital art centre nestled at thirty-eight rue Saint-Maur in the lively eleventh arrondissement of Paris. This remarkable venue originally began its life as a steel foundry in the nineteenth century, founded by the Plichon brothers. Over the years, it has undergone a stunning transformation from an industrial space into a contemporary haven for art and wonder.

Atelier des Lumières covers approximately one thousand five hundred square metres, where thousands of high-resolution images are projected onto every surface. One hundred and forty projectors work alongside fifty speakers to create an immersive environment, thanks to the pioneering AMIEX technology tailored to the venue's unique space. Art and music meld together, providing visitors with a multisensory experience that captivates the imagination.

The centre has hosted exhibitions featuring works by renowned artists such as Gustav Klimt, Vincent van Gogh, and Claude Monet, as well as captivating themed shows that delve into ancient cultures and the wonders of nature. There are two distinct areas to explore: a grand main hall known as La Halle and a smaller, soundproof studio that also doubles as a bar and an exhibition space for upcoming digital artists.

Atelier des Lumières embraces families, art lovers, and young visitors with an open and accessible approach that differs from traditional museums. Its programmes, including Art en Immersion, now extend to disadvantaged children, igniting their creativity while supporting the local community and economy. Enjoy your journey into this unique fusion of heritage and cutting-edge technology in the heart of Paris.
